Our Work

Parenting Sessions

Parenting sessions cover a wide range of positive nurturing practices designed to support holistic child development. These include promoting health care, proper nutrition, providing consistent physical affection to children, engaging in interactive activities like reading together, fostering open communication, and encouraging play to enhance cognitive and emotional growth. Additionally, these sessions emphasize the importance of creating a safe and supportive home environment and equipping parents with practical tools to handle challenges. Some of these sessions are conducted by LABE field staff, Village Health Teams, and other community experts, who bring valuable insights and locally relevant expertise to the discussions.

Parent Educator Strand

Parents engage in the nurturing care for 0-to 3-year-old children to lay the foundation for early learning through supervised play and socialization activities. These sessions take place at home and are facilitated by parents who attend weekly parenting sessions at the Home Learning Centres where they are trained on how to create a conducive and enabling environment for children to learn at home. In this parent-led approach, parents also engage 3-to 6-year-old children in early learning activities such as shared book reading and educative games.
