The FAN programme aims at promoting lifelong learning by increasing numeracy and financial literacy support to enable Village Savings and Loaning Association (VSLA) groups transform into microenterprises as a form of community socio-economic empowerment as envisaged in the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) 4 under targets 4.5. and 4.6. The programme is derived from on-going initiatives within the Home Learning Centres where some parents engage in adult literacy and numeracy activities.
